Are Hair curlers in public OK?

OMG, I had to make a quick trip to the store with my hair set in rollers. It was a strange experience! Guys were smiling, saying hi and winking at me, and a got a compliment from an older woman that said I did a very nice job setting my hair...lol. Also, my boyfriend thinks that I look really cute with curlers! Any other gals have this experience? What do guys think about this?

When I had to go out with curlers in my hair, like everyone stared at me and some people started laughing!! It was horrible!!!!!!!

Thats so cute! People were probably just happy to see someone who isn't afraid to be bold. I don't use curlers, i use a curling iron, but why not go out in public? It similar to clips and hair ties, just a little bit more bold. I'd love to get a smile from someone in cute curlers. thank you for making me laugh!

Well, I have only went out in public with my hair in curlers a few times and that was in high school. I was on the colorguard line and everyone did it, so I guess people in my area are used to it. If you felt confident and did not care what other people thought, I say go for it. I am the type of person who could care less what other people think. I bet you were cute! Have fun! :)

it fine if your comfortable going out of the house like that.I wouldn't make it a habit though but if your just running to the store or something it's cool. it just shows that you care about your apperance but not so much that you wouldn't get caught dead walking out the house like that. and it shows your natural beauty like my boyfriend tells me I'm beautiful all the time but I'm the most beautiful to him when I wake up in the morning. guys like it when a female can be beautiful without all the makeup and stuff.

I do pageants some I am always out in curlers b/f pageants. People kind of laugh and smile. I don't wear mine out in public unless I have a reason, but if you want to wear them go for it!!
