Just in case your hair isn't long enough, ask the stylist to trim it minimally to give your hair extra shape %26amp; volume if you want to continue to grow it out for Locks of Love.

It's better than tossing the hair for birds to build nests, but there are other places who do more wigs for kids.

Five inches past the shoulders isn't "really" long by some tallies. It's probably w-a-y short of your *natural* limit, where new growth gradually replaces shed hair.

Good luck on finding a hair cut that looks good both right off and a month later, otherwise, imagine the support for cancer research or for wigs for kids on chemo temporarily if the fees otherwise spent regularly on trims and/or cuts was donated instead.
