I have my eye on a totaly cute guy. I have shoulder length hair. I was thinking I should do that poof like on some of the avatars but I dont know how If you could please help me I would be eternaly gratefull

Put your hair up in some sort of style that you really won't have to maintain. Usually putting your hair up will last all day... I'm always a fan of the pompadour... it's a low maintenence hairstyle that with the right amount of discreetly, smartly placed bobby pins can last through a hurricane. To achieve the hairstyle you take a small section of your hair on the top of you head and pull it back. Twist the ends a little bit (to prevent your part from coming out) and push it forward until you have the desired "pouf" to your hair. Secure with bobby pins. You can also pull back the rest of your hair into a ponytail.

to do the "poof" that is on some of the avatars, i would say to take the top chunk of your hair and, underneath of course, backcomb it a little to add some volume to hold it up. then slick the sides and pull it back in a ponytail... put on a little hairspray and use bobby pins when needed.

other hairstyles that might look cool would be to braid your hair the night before to have it wavy (try during the summer to see how it comes out), put your hair half up-half down (with or without a "poof"), wear it straight (maybe have your haircut changed a little--side bangs, layers, etc.)

You should also do something simple since it will be the first day and remember how important first impressions are.

A ponytail with curls, or your hair down and flipped out, or even getting a new haircut can go a long way!

--You need a haircip and the ponytail is optional.

1. Brush your bangs so they're going directly on your face.

2. Pull the hair up and brush it so it's not clumpy.

3. Keep holding the bangs as you have the clip on your other hand and pull it back.

Tip- You can adjust the poof by moving the ends forward and backward.
